    1992 SHERWOOD MODS

    Hi Everyone

Just brought a sherwood rangie and was wondering whether I could transfer some of the suspension components from my 92 disco.
My disco runs alot of scorpion suspension gear and snake racing radius arms with a 4 inch lift whilst running 255/85/16's on CSA alloy's.... can all of this be transfered into the rangie?
May need to drill and tap the front arms to suit the sway bars and make extended swaybar brackets with disconnects to suit, any idea's or is should an item available off the shelf?
I also have an ARB bar and rear bar, do I need to mod the front spoiler to fit the front bar or can I run with it also?
Also whats the go with the transfercase with the auto - it doesn't have a centre diff lock like the disco just high and low?
Any other important mods that should be done to improve the rangie, Cheers

My wife has a 92 silver sherwood. Was going to diesel it but will now keep it standard.
Only done 190000 kays as we use the 92 tdi disco now but the Rangie is more comfortable.

I'd think all your suspension gear should be transferable from the Disco, the disco differs from the rangie primarily in that it was built to a price.
The transfer case in the Range rover from 1989 to 1994/5 is a different unit altogether, whereas your Discovery has the LT230 transfer case, the Range Rover as the Borg Warner chain driven transfer case with a viscous coupling. Do a bit of a search on here for the BW box, you'll find that they are not preferred for anything approaching serious off-road use, a LT230 transplant is the go.

    I have a 92 Sherwood too..........running 60 Series axles.

Disco suspension and running gear shouldn't pose much of a problem. I think you can do anything you want with a grinder and a welder....

Are you asking what you should choose for yours....?
24 has to be the go if you have a choice over the 10's.....
