Use a 1/2 inch ring spanner to undo the clamp bolt on the tensioner. Sometimes a very long extension bar and a wobble drive will get a 1/2 inch socket down there. And of course you have to take off the alternator, power steering and a/c belts first. To retension the belt use a shifter on the body of the tensioner, hold it and do up the clamp. Yes, its crude, the serpentine belt on the later models is much easier.
