Thread: aircon won't fill

took the Rangie (1991) in for an aircon recharge this week, the garage admit to being baffled, the system can be emptied, pumped down to low pressure, holds the pressure, but will not take gas, they tried for about 4 hours and couldn't figure it out, is there something landrover do different to everyone else that could cause this, summers coming so would like to get to the bottom of it if possible!

You have either a failed compressor, a failed TX valve or a blockage. It should be easy enough to find out if the compressor is working, disconnect the hoses and spin it up for a sec with your finger over the inlet then the exhaust. I suggest finding a more clued up air con place.
