Still haven't started yet Paul Ron.

Work got in the way first, then a boat, and two other cars needed some work. Right now the Garage is occupied and I don't have enough room or heat to do the glassing work . It will have to wait until summer... when 50 billion other distractions take over and it gets forgotten.
Unlikely though, as it's sitting on the shelf directly above the workbench constantly reminding me to get on with it.

What I really need is a holiday...

Well I was sitting in the old rangie last night trying to figure out where to put those cheapo temp gauges ....

ie: two of these, one for ATF and one for coolant

    http://www.aulro.com/afvb/discovery-...larm-39-a.html

Given how cheap the engine alarm is .... I'm sure it'll die in a few years, and I dont' want massive holes in the dash (even though the dash is already buggered and full of holes). I wandered around the parts cars in the yard and spotted this on the back floor of one of them ...

I can attach it by the vent holes so new extra holes are required in the dash.

This is with a cardboard cutout in it as the face to work out the correct shape (and hole locations for the gauges). I'll cut the face out of the broken sheet of plastic from the drivers door trim pocket (it should match that way).

The cost is zero $$$ .... So I can actually afford it
