Not sure on the flapper system pressure wise but a search of the forum should bring up the numbers.

There are a number of ways to check pressures with the easiest using a telltale pressure gauge connected where an injector would usually be. No need to run the engine, just turn ignition on and pressurise.

would that mean i would need to check all 8 of them as opposed to checking just the one on the cold start?

Only need to check one injector as they all feed off the same line.

Might also be the cold start injector constantly dribbling and not atomising correctly particularly if you get fouled plugs but it can be flapper setting, timing etc etc.
You need to do a process of elimination if nothing stands out and slaps you in the face.

On flapper systems, part of the cold start system runs from a hose on the thottle body, underneath and to the extra air valve and thence into the plenum Over time the rubber becomes loose and lets air in at various places. Originally the hoses were a push fit, but I've had succss with jubilee clips - but they are hard to get at. It should give you even idle ( and may help with those mixture problems). I endorse Mr LMR - time to find a WSM and start checking things. The 4CU /flapper system is easy to diagnose once you know what to look for.
