I wouldn't use anything like that, makes servicing much harder. Just use top quality leads that have tight fitting boots and concentrate on preventing water entry under the rim of the cap. The Bosch leads I use are very good for waterproofing. If you don't have a robust shield in front of the cap the blast of water can literally lift the cap off its seat. A simple way of reducing water entry is to put one layer of ordinary electrical tape around the top of the dissy body, then carefully push the cap on over the tape.

In the 80's I rallied P76's, you weren't going fast enough through water unless you couldn't see. Waterproofing dissies works.

just use 2 rubber gloves, and save your money! its essentially what that kit is!

Megasquirt is the ulitmate super-duper homebrew EFI system but it's virtually another subculture out there. Just do the usual searches and start reading. A lot.

It does sound great and I'd do it except it requires a laptop for programming and out here, in the bush . . . hmmm, I don't know if I'd trust a laptop!

I can second or even 3rd the rubber glove option.
Fit over whole dizzy and put two leads through each finger, ignition through the thumb. Seal the tips with a cable/zip tie.

same for the ignition coil.
I have had water coming through my dash and the RRC kept on going.
Downside is the cost $5, from bunnings

I think I got something like a gardening glove that was a cross between a work glove and a washing up glove, so thicker than a rubber/dishwashing glove, stretchy but thicker.

I cable tie it on around the coil and around the dizzy just under the edge of the cap
