I wouldn't use anything like that, makes servicing much harder. Just use top quality leads that have tight fitting boots and concentrate on preventing water entry under the rim of the cap. The Bosch leads I use are very good for waterproofing. If you don't have a robust shield in front of the cap the blast of water can literally lift the cap off its seat. A simple way of reducing water entry is to put one layer of ordinary electrical tape around the top of the dissy body, then carefully push the cap on over the tape.
In the 80's I rallied P76's, you weren't going fast enough through water unless you couldn't see. Waterproofing dissies works.
