    2-door RRC vinyl pillar re-furb.

Got sick of the knackered C pillars on the rangie, so pulled them off and stripped the old fragments of vinyl off, then hit the panels with thinners and coarse steel wool.

Need to decide what to do with them now....

    Re-vinyl?
    Paint?
    Checkerplate trim?

I was thinking of a black hammertone, and matching the bonnet, but might be too glossy.

    Any suggestions?

Some models had paint there - I can't remember which ones - and that would be the KISS solution. I like the vinyl as it's rather quaint to think there was a time when that was considered something you could actually put onto a car, but mine's ageing and no doubt letting water in.

    '72 '73 was painted - I think.

Might try the hammertone tomorrow. If it looks crappy, i can always vinyl over the top.

Yeah, come to think of it, chequer plate would be too expensive as you'd also have to put on chrome rims and add a 9" lift.

A Dark Tinted Glass Would look AMAZING on the side and just paint the strips either side on the rear in a similar blackish color. probably should ask does she have tinted windows already?

Might do that to mine when the time comes. mine still looks resonable

Yep, (extra)DARK () tinted windows, and already has a checkerplate lower tailgate.

Couldn't get any hammertone, so I might just vinyl them tomorrow. I have the vinyl already, leftover from re-doing the seats.

All done. Just need to do up the fasteners.

    Plain old boring vinyl.

Now to do something about that gawdawful upper tailgate.
Seen an ally frame kit on Ebay, but $570?!?!?!.....
Might as well order some flares at the same time.
