Maybe you should update it more often and then you wouldn't lose it. :-)
Because I kept loosing it there...
Twice I've forgotton which forum I had it in, so I moved it here - makes more sense to my feeble mind.![]()

Gav, you've removed the lights on the roof. Weren't they there last weekend?
Are they going back on?
Well spotted Mick, yes they were there last weekend. They were only removed because they weren't bolted down or wired in so th would have gone AWOL on my test drives. They will be going back on shortly after a few mods and improvements.
I have some new LED's for the side lights.

I'm on the local 4wd facebook group here. Those light bars go "walkabout" all the time. I'd be worried if you tied them down too well to your car they would damage both the car and lights trying to get them off
Can you make them quick release ... so you can just leave the lightbar in your shed, and only fit them when you are heading bush ? Most seem to be stolen from the house the 4wd lives at.
We don't even live "in town" as such, And my wife heard some scumbags walking down our drive last year and woke me. The sensor lights under the carport switch on so the ran and hid in the paddock beside our house. They haven't been back. The crazy asshole that lives in the house jumped into the old bull bar clad Rangie and went hurling at full song through the paddock after them. It sure must have hurt how quick they got through our barbwire fence and into the street. But htey managed it
I learnt years back, you put nothing worth money in or on your cars .... and don't lock them. I used to go out a lot of mornings when I lived up in town and close the doors of my car. You see they'd open the car to go through it ... and the Citroen CX doors "lock" open with a loud "CRACK" ....at which point they'd run like buggery and leave the door wide open. If you locked the car, you would find a smashed window or damaged car (so they could get in) instead of a door left open.
Everytime I open this thread I go searching for those relay bases .... I could fit a bunch of them to all my cars to tidy up the wiring. Oneday I'll have $40 to spare to order some in

Hi Shane, see the pic below for the light bar we're talking about - 4 cheap lights mounted to some old roof racks. They have been on the car for about 4 years now, the last 6 months they haven't even been bolted down.
The car lives in the driveway so nothing stopping anyone flogging them except the 4 security cameras out the front which all the locals know about - a visitor over the road removed a gas bottles from my front yard while partying at their place. I wandered over the next morning and asked for it back. Blank looks and 'we didn't take it' ensued. I told them they could drop it back any time this morning and I wouldn't take the video to the Poilce. The gas bottle returned an hour later.
I have been considering making them easily remove able mainly for the reason of over zealous Police, but there are 5 circuits running up there, so I've yet to come up with a power arrangement that I like that can be disconnected easily.
