Hi all,
Im new to RR and this forum. I have a question regarding K&N air filters, i just got one for my 94 3.9 Classic, its a Panel type (part no:33-2737) and it fits bang on snug as a bug, however the depth is way thiner than the old one ive taken out, is this how they are, I went for a drive and all seems well, does the idle or mixture have to be readjusted?
Cheers Bruce

K&n do not make air filters.
they make bird cage parts.
hold it up to the sun and then do the same with an OEM filter, you'll work it out.
To answer the original question... no, you dont need to change the mix.

Hum I guess I should have asked that question before I got one....
As far as off road probably at the weekends and a couple of trips up north camping, unsealed roads but not what id call full on 4x4
Thanks for the feed back
don't use the K & N rock and bird strainer in dusty conditions. They are an engine room decoration, not a useful attachment.

Holy hell, the k&n is getting the flick after only a day..... back to the cardboard. In future ill stick with what the manual says .... Man we used to use the k&n's on our trial bikes 30 years ago and thought they were all the go.
Thanks again,
