some info here. dont forget there are slight differance in D1 seats, they change around the 95 update IIRC. pre update should be almost straight bolt in. Rears you just have to use the whole seat release assembly.

I'm only 5'10", yet the '88/89 Classic I used to use drove me nuts with that deep, dark green tint. - The tint ended...where the low-beam headlights also ended.

- Driving at night was a lot darker than it needed to be.
I tried various windscreen places, and the answer was the same. - Every brand of glass comes with it.

When I test-drove my '95 softdash.... NO tint was the icing on the cake. (It's got halftone gradation around the edges.) Before you ask, I don't know if the '95 is the SAME size/shape windscreen as previous models. To my untrained eye, it looks like it...

At 7'6" ... lower seats sound like a great idea. Or 6'7".

Wrong way round Pre 95 update they won't fit as the runners are closer together after 95 that are the same as the RRC

got my hands on some D1 seats really cheap, not really bolt in at all, but after a fair bit of modding...

You didn't ask the right people. I have had three replacement windscreens in my Rangie in the 7 or so years I have owned it. All with no tint at my request ( I am about 6'4" and tall from the waist up. I did take spacers out from under the drivers seat as well).

well each side was different. the drivers side must have been replaced with a later seat as the seatbelt mechanism wasn't in the seat, as a result how the seat bolted to the seta base was different. the passenger had the (i assume) older style where the seat is on rollers that are part of the seat base, rather than runners that bolt to the seat base.

First for both seats i had to get the disco seats so they didn't have the disco mounts on them, so had to drill and cut the rivets that held the mounting brackets off the bottom of the tracks. and ankle grinder and battery drill did this fairly easily, there was one bit of weld that i had to grind off as well.

To attach the tracks to the bases, I had to drill a few new holes in the bases to line up with the tracks, I just mocked them in and marked where to drill so they had full movement forwards and back. i positioned the drivers a little further back for my 6'7"legs. Then i bolted it all together, there was one bolt on the passenger side that was a pain so i ended up just putting a stitch weld in its place.
