The 6BB1 is a very nice smooth engine. But it's far too big to fit without major work. Approx 5.4 litres.

The 4JB1T is nice, but you'll be able to pickup and bolt in several 300tdi's for the same money. The 300tdi will produce similar power and torque as the SD33T, but the direct injection of the 300tdi has stronger pistons, stronger head and far better efficiency.

4BD1T's are the best engine you can easily fit. But they aren't cheap or plentiful. They will also turn most landrover gearboxes inside out. Capable of over 200hp and 700Nm with the stock injection pump.

adam, the sd33T is worthwhile for sure, uses diesel kiki pump etc like the isuzu, and the rest of the engine is very robust. can be tweaked a bit but not sure how much.....

the NA engine is a slug

The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

After having a 98 300tdi disco would say they do produce similar power and torque but are in no way as reliable as sd33.
My 300tdi even after be serviced every 5000k through a piston out the block at 200 000k where as my sd33 has done somewhere around 600 000k and is still going strong .
