Welcome to the forum. That sounds great. How much did you pay for it? Mine's an '83 but it certainly didn't have some of those nice extras. It's a good time to buy an old Range Rover. They're cheap and parts are still mostly available.
I've heard that you can clean those sorts of switches with contact cleaner, but a big one with these cars is the earthing. You have to check all the earths and maybe add a few more.
One of the doors on mine didn't open from the inside, and it was only the child-proof lock, which I discovered before I took it all apart, (for a change).
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
