Central Locking
Yesterday I installed an aftermarket, remote central locking kit. It's all functioning so it's an epic win!
But, does anyone know the location of the OEM central locking module?
I've replaced all the actuators and removed as much of their harness as I can, but I'm not going to rip the dashboard apart again until I'm ready, as it requires an extensive amount of repair.
I'm somewhat expecting there to be no actual module to speak of, it looks like the OEM central locking just took 12v and the master actuator told the rest when to cycle. But if there's a module in there, I'll be taking out the rest of the harness and maybe selling the whole lot. All the OEM gear is in good working order, I just wanted a remote set.
It's a seven seater now, two baby capsules in the back, kids up the wazoo, remote was beginning to be a necessity.
When I know for sure if/where there's a central locking module, I'll be ripping out the whole dash, rewiring the electronics, repairing the cracked/broken dash panels, then maybe wrapping the whole lot in black leather. While I'm at it, I might as well pull up the centre console and drop the T/case so I can repair a nagging leak.
