Either way, my understanding is that you have achieved a healthy BLUE spark. And that it has fired up on gas.
The red and blue wires are NOT ON THE POWER SIDE of the amp they are on the pickup side. Reversing them will only shift the ignition timing.

Your second pic shows two suspicious looking grey relays side by side with el cheapo looking crimp connectors. Are they wired to the EFI harness? Betcha they are. The relays will be switched on by your gas/petrol switch, you should be able to feel them click on.

Yep so when you flick the switch to fuel a noise comes from the brown ones (oem) ones near the ecu

Maybe. Try doing some internet reading on "basic auto electrics" and find out what a relay is and how it works, and what a circuit is etc. It'll help no end if you understand what you're looking at.

I'm guessing if I trace the injector wires all the way back to the ecu I should run into any problems along the way. Or can I just get a tester and test things.

    Won't fire just winds over

The wires from the injectors run back to this area finger pointing. Do I unravel this tape to see where from there. Or am I looking in the wrong area
