If I read correctly, link in 19 talks about engine meeting Californian emissions. Are you saying the data should satisfy in Oz?
Sorry but I can't see the link you put up in post 19![]()

It appears to me that a few members on here have compliant vehicles after 07/88 which is handy to know.![]()
Another minor point. The engineer I was going to use (mechanical engineer in the Army), but now don't need to, said that if someone prior to you has already had an approval for the same set-up then an engineering cert is unlikely to be required - in other words all the ADR stuff has already been gone through - the motor registry just needs to go back through its records to find an example of a previous application - in which case you just need a cert welder re the mounts. In my app to the registry I just banged on about the 4bd1 having been use in Oz army land rovers and civilian County, with almost identical chassis's to the RRC just requiring a mount change, also emphasising the period over which the engines were available.
Just remembered, can't recall how I came across the information, but the comment made was that the engine has to comply with the original ADR on the vehicle's compliance plate - not the vehicle having to comply to the ADRs covering the year of engine manufacture. Not sure this helps in your case.
I'll just get a 4be1 if I really have to.

I should be off installing stainless steel claws onto a stuffed Grizzley Bear.

Typical engineer, you can never tell if he's being metaphorical or literal...
I don't mind the Tdi300 block, just don't like much of what is attached to it or is with it in the engine bay.
If dougal would stop stuffing around and fit an intercooler he'd get a lot more power than that.
Mine runs one and 28psi, fuel screw out 4.5 turns, you work it out😊
So Dougal, how do you type when wearing your gloves...OK, just show us the rest of the bear!
I thought Dougal had just about sorted the intercooler bit, just some fitment issues?
You shouldn't have said that p76...I think we might be shown some more graphs![]()
