Hi GG
Can I ask where you are getting those items from and are you happy with the quality. I also have a two door 1977 model that needs these items.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul,
I have purchased them via "famous four" in the UK.
Famous Four: Independent Land Rover & Range Rover Specialist. Parts, Spares, Accesssories, Servicing, Repairs and Vehicle Sales
They have been very good to deal with - make sure that you give them your VIN# as there are differences between the various 2 Doors (Suffix A, B, C, D, etc)..
I have been happy with the quality BUT...
The problem is - wow, it's expensive with the current Australian Dollar.
From memory the below was approximately $1,600 AUD landed...
Ouch.
Cheers,
GG.
I had a look at the trim last night and indeed, I am going to need to be careful.
I did keep “whats left” of the original trim but there isn’t a lot of it! [emoji15]
I also spent some time starting to go through my parts bin to try and remember what else I need..
Carpet set ordered this week also..
Cheers,
GG
Did you order your carpet from Stuart? If you need original top doors cards to use as a trace I am pretty sure I still have mine. PM if you want.
Hi All,
I spent a bit of time out in the shed last night.. Firstly - I removed the mirrors:

And then the side badges (interestingly one is a different colour to the other, I assume due to sun fading):

I had bought one of these a while back:

To get rid of these ugly stripes:

I have done done the drivers side of the car. While I was at it - I removed the ugly rubber protective trim. I realise that it protects the doors, but seeing as this is not going to be a daily and also because I hate the look of them, they are now gone:

While I wast a it - I had a go at the front letters...

To this...

The plan is to remove all the stripes, rubber trim (and left over glue), gold strips and bonnet and boot letters... The car needs a re-spray, so this phase is really about prep work..
I have found quite a bit of bog - only thin layers, but the front passenger side has clearly seen some action in the past..
My research says that a 76 should have pop-on letters? Is that correct?
I'm wondering if I don't bother with letters or stickers once the re-spray has been done? What do people think?
Cheers,
GG.
Not only r the side badges different colour, they different size.!! [emoji15] Would drive me bonkers that. [emoji6]

Also, just to say, I'd stick with pressed in/pop up letters, just for sake of originality.
I've seen them available at Rimmer bros, or Paddocks, [emoji848], including template for hole position...
Hi Mark,
I had a look - and can find the letters on Famous Four... But I couldn't find anything on Rimmer Brothers or Paddocks...
I've fired off an enquiry to Famous Four - each individual letter costs $4.95 (pounds) - and there are 20 of them... By my maths that's $99 pounds!! [bighmmm][bigsad]
