Ive had both. My rangie was a 1992 Sherwood with a 3" body lift 3" suspension and a sals detroit rear. 255^85/16 mudders and a 4bd1t and lt95. Cream leather walnut trim and all the offroad performance of a defender.

Currently have all that running gear in a 1985 county after the Rangie developed stress fatigue crack8ng in the body for the 3rd time so i moved to a 110 for durability.

The long and the short of it is there are days i really miss my rangie and days i love my 110.

I would however still entertain the thought of having another if i came across the right one.

Hmm, seriously considering offloading the 130.

I've moved away from family and friends, walked away from my business and now have a job that comes with a company car (near new BT50) that i can use after hours.

I've always said I'd never get rid of the Deefer but it'd be that last statement of shedding my old life.
I've been wracking my brain what I could replace it with......

Haven't driven a deefer so take this into consideration. But when you are driving a Rangey going well, it just makes you feel good. Can't say more than that.

Well I can't decide so I keep both. The RRC has a heep more space than the 90, sounds a 100% better, glides along the road like a Persian carpet, but still does your right arm arm in. So just have both The Defender is just a joy!

I owned 4 Rangies over a period of about 18 years before going to the 130. I remember the comfort and driveability with fondness but can't help also remembering all the little niggles like tailgates that popped open and emptied my camping gear along he road, and major hassles like the fuel pump breaking off inside the tank on the Tanami Track. In the end they were just getting too old to be a realistic option, and who would be brave enough to take a late-model RR into anywhere remote?

I would, although probably not until I get 18 inch wheels. I would carry my scan tool just in case, but not expect to use it.

One big advantage of the Defender is that one can throw any accessory at it and wherever it lands, it will still look ok bolted there. You can't do that with a Rangie.
