Got this a few weeks ago, 1985 with only 160,000kms, no rust (for a Classic) but has had the original motor and Torqueflite replaced with a 1988 EFI motor with extractors, ZF 4 speed and LT230 with an Edelbrock 1404 carb and Edelbrock Performer manifold. I'm in the process of tidying it up and finishing a few things to get it to run.

ALL Range Rovers have rust in the upper tailgate frame....yours does not, therefore it cannot be a 'genuine' RR Classic as built by Poms in Solihull.

    - It must be a Jap or Korean prototype knock-off....

Have posted this elswhere (on other forums) but thought may as well share here too!

Thanks to JohnR for getting these shots at our recent Coffs Harbour adventure.

Couple of changes to my vehicle, finally have a winch.
14inch 7100s all round. Still waiting on the ashcroft under drive and the superior engineering superflex arms.
Once that's all done it will be time to fit the supercharger and microsquirt!!!

The engine is a mild 4.6
The charger is a Vortech V2. I have had it for a few years but never got round to making the necessary changes to make it fit.

Hey Neale, the rear suspension is standard link geometry but I have got cranked rear arms and a ball joint spacer. The upper shock mounts are all custom and raised 75mm over standard. This was to assist in fitting the 14 inch travel Bilsteins.
With the soft spring rate I feel it is now at the limits of the rear ball joint.

The tyres are 37s sticky compound. I love them!!!
