Chrysler 318-360 are easy to do. Auto or 4 speed. Std exhaust manifolds fit no prob. Alloy heads are nice and cheap these days. Stroker kits to 408. The best none efi petrol conversion in my experience.

Nice. I've never seen a cargo barrier/rollbar combo like that on a Rangie. How on earth is it attached? That point is where I've gotten stuck so far. My four-year-old rides in the back seat of my Range Rover, so I've been thinking of putting in some sort of a decent barrier given all the tools and crap behind her in the cargo area.
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.

    Smile my first rangie,

its not as bad as it looks, ok well maybe it is, its got a output shaft that is busted, rust in two pannels, needs a new injector in the plenum, new belts, roof lining, front and rear bar and door seals, also needs the floor fixed as there has just been a dodgy cut it out and rivit a new piece on job. Anyhow, it should be in the shed next week and ready to pull down a bit and build up, best part is it was free. So hopefully pics of progress to come

That seems like a good Rangie which you got for free phantom. Lucky yo. Everything that happens with it now is a plus because you can't lose when it cost nothing to begin with.

    Wink win

It was my brother in laws, he stuffed it and has not the time or money to fix it, so win win. If you look behind this one you will be the back end of another rangie, that be the parts car. Now I just to find some bits n pieces that are not on the parts car.

Do you mean the cold start enrichment injector? If so, don't worry about it. They don't need it unless it is well below zero.
