Upload/host it on a site like Photobucket.com, you have to create an account though obviously. Once uploaded, you can link the photos to here with tags - no spaces between G and ] though.

1988 RRC. Dual fuel, Miky T 33" (305 70 16?) -25mm offset Dynamic rims. Flat Dog 75mm flares with conservative guard cut. (Needs more cut as it scrubs a little, might also need body lift.) Disco diffs and axles but still RRC dual line brakes. ARB front and rear bars. Tough Dog 35mm lift springs with adjustable shocks. LRA Rear swing out spare tire carrier. LRA Snorkel. Winch to come just need a suitable front bar and winch rope.

Here's my two -

Angie, when I first picked her up from the transport depot.
(the buggers broke off the side mirror, damaged the side of it, ran it out of fuel, then flattened the battery and damaged the negative battery cable from excessive cranking)

She's a 1985 3spd 727 auto, with dual fuel, extractors, holly conversion, ARB bars front and rear, Oscar Cibies, Billy suspension and 133,000km's.
I find the bilstein shocks a bit harsh though TBH. (I'm thinking of going back to original spec soft boges or something.)

It was someone's extreme pride and joy once upon a time. The undercarriage and drivetrain has been very highly detailed at some stage in the past.
Tracked down and bought, the original Victorian Green and White number plates for her too! (Not fitted yet)

And now for the strangest part........
I bought her off ebay, from a bloke in Kyogle NSW, who had bought it from a car dealer in the Melbourne CBD years earlier and had it shipped up.

I live in the Vic Yarra Valley and turns out by pure fluke, (of all the places) it was a local car many years ago, literally from the next suburb over.
Rangie's sure love to travel around, but somehow, they always seem to find their way home!

Why Angie you may ask?
Here's why -

And this is my ongoing project, Gramps aka 'The Beast' - bought/bartered from a family friend 10 odd yrs ago. Prior to that, it was bounced around between a few other family friends.
Yr's ago, I traced the original owner, and actually spoke to him on the phone. Confirmed that it was indeed his vehicle.
Once again, he was only local, living in the mountain ranges not even a half hrs drive away from me.
I have 90% owner history, and as per Angie, Gramps has traveled with different owners but yet eventually found his way home again. (pretty damn close anyways)

He's a 1983 3.5ltr original twin carby straight petrol 4spd manual.
He's running cut down and widened standard Rangie rims. (15x8)
Cibie spotties, Old Man Emu suspension, Pacie extractors, and one Lukey Super Turbo muffler. (for one heck of a grumbly note)

When I got him, 1st gear was stripped, and I quickly tired of 2nd gear starts all the time, so I gave myself a crash course in gearbox rebuilding, and spent $1,500 replacing almost everything in the box, except for 4th/output shaft, the main shaft, the other shafts and the center diff - which badly needs welding and re-machining, as the pinion gear shims were so long-gone, that they've worn grooves in the casing.
Got to be pretty good friends with Andrew at then Rangie Spares (now LRA) as I was in there literally every week, buying parts off him.

Gramps has unknown km's as the cluster only goes to 10's of thousands, but the original engine was freshly rebuilt just before I bought it.
It's showing 25,000km's approx.
I also tracked down and bought the original number plates for Gramps too, (which I haven't fitted yet.)

Does 'Ange' have a small hub cap set into the centre of each wheel?

Yep.... centercaps which can be popped out, as per the early 80's onwards steel wheels with the larger center hole.
Two have the raised 'Range Rover' lettering on them, and the others are just smooth plastic, so maybe they're copies?

These ones -
Land Rover Range Classic Black Wheel Badge Center HUB Caps SET OF 4 NRC8254 | eBay

Interestingly, Angie has the large soft foam side bumper strips too, which I think are a Bearmach accessory. (maybe dealer fitted?)
They also have the words 'Range Rover' on the rear quarter pieces.
The white has all worn off the lettering though, so they're very hard to see.

Also, the four cut down and widened stockies on Gramps are not the original wheels, but were fitted by one of the family friend owners some 20yrs ago.
Of those four centers, three have the small center hole (early wheels) and one is mismatched as it has the larger center hole.
Gramps spare, is still the original 16x7 though.

They really are fun things to own, Rangie's..... they're always a journey of discovery.

Hi all,

Just introducing my current project/tourer/weekend wheeler.

It's a 1983 3.5 with an LT95, and affectionately nicknamed 'the sofa' by friends on a recent easter trip due to it's ability to soak up the bumps and flex over most things, also a damned comfortable ride!

This is how I got it:

Mods include a 2" lift, 235/85-16 Bighorns, Custom front bar, sliders, snorkel and rear bar by me, +5" shocks, bottom dislocation cones (a stop gap before some decent flexy coils), holey bushes, and a few other little things.

Plans for the future are a bobtail and soft-top conversion, 2" body lift, 35's (with the ability to run 37's if I compete in it), HD axles and flanges, ashcroft lockers, 14" shocks, front 3 link, 4.6 or 5.0 V8.

Cheers
Will

If it's straight, you may want to keep it in one piece, as these models are right in the middle of the trough old cars hit before they're worth a lot more later on because nobody took care of them when they were worthless . . . just a thought, anyway. OK, OK, I'm a tragic . . . I'll admit it!
At any given point in time, somewhere in the world someone is working on a Land-Rover.
