Probably not, but I have had lights up there (and on roof) of a few and never had a problem legal wise. My D1 just went through rego with a light bar mounted atop the front bar.

Made a bit of a difference on the trip home.
Nice looking Ranige. Surely it would be easier to get a good pair of lights than to run two sets of sub standard ones... .

That paint looks amazingly sound in the piccies (though piccies have been known to lie). If it's straight, you could just scuff, mask and recoat that one for very little.
Aside from a few rust bubbles, and the lower tailgate in a few places (all just surface thankfully), she's in remarkably good nick. Even just wiping with a damp cloth gave me a lot of hope that a good buff will really help.

But the paintwork is the least of my issues. Step one: get the engine to start. If anything it'll shut my housemate up...

If it was running when it was parked up ... I see no big deal in getting is running again .... Pull the plugs and wind it over to get some oil circulating, put some fresh fuel in and let the electric fuel pump do it's magic .... check you have some spark at the plugs and she should fire right up.

The headlights are new Hella HD H4 reflectors with 130/90w globes. They are wired with separate high current SSR's on each beam.
The pair on the top of the bar are 9 LED Great Whites, I use as fogs, the lower pair are 18LED units as additional high beam.
    They are bright.
Price is err.. not cheap. but I know the supplier, so for me, they were.

Fog lights are designed to illuminate under the fog - they work best when down as low as possible.

LOL, I just worked out that you are the guy that was at Ashdown-Ingrams when I was there before Christmas... I have the red Discovery and an earlier Rangie... That Classic of yours is absolutely mint in the flesh!

Your name tipped me off as you mentioned Mercs in conversation, and you seemed to know Tony well, small world, eh!
