Your safe there.... Or I've lost.
The frost set here at 7.30pm tonight. Has chased me in at 10.30pm even with the heavily modified top loader wood fire It never worried me at all a few years ago Must be getting older or softer

Look at the the frost on the Disco at 10.30 pm.

    :
I put the beer in the fridge to stop it from freezing

I think they are expecting record lows up north I hope PhillipA has a good heater or a large bottle of rum.

We hope to do the same trip next year in this Rangie

Jack frost is not as bad tonight
None on the Rangie but relevant as my wife now has my Japper. I have to Take the 120 to a clearing sale tomorrow so had to take the dodgy tires off Well I may as well find out what the 35s for the Rangie are like on the black top on -25 offset.

Look at the down travel on the front end on this thing with 35s on. I lifted it with a chain block so both down together and not articulated(It dislocates the coils at times) I'm thinking 2" spacers all round and extend the pump stops so shocks don't bind. Otherwise raise the towers.

Took it for a quick drive up to 100 kmh on speedoand steers perfect. Can drive it with one finger around corners and on our notoriously bad cambered road. Although the 120 is obviously longer than the Rangie (Makes it less twitchy) I am now content the Rangie will be fine on 35s on long trips on the black top. I did notice the turbo spooled up earlier with the 3.54s but the 4BD1T still does it easy. They have a heap of torque
I hope a well sorted Blown 3.9 with 4.11s will drive as nicely and able to cruise at 100kmh+.

I have also cleared some some of the work shop

    Just an update

    Nothing

Disco Owner is hopefully coming up here for a week soon when he can arrange holidays So will be all hands on when he gets here including putting a LRA body lift kit in his 93 Rangie.

I started to sort this mess out here but is now worse After a few mates have just done a Safari conversion to my old 2 Door There is now beer bottles, Bits of hacked alloy, Trim and tools all over the place... But they had fun and it is now effective for four people to stand up in the back and two to shoot out of it. Most importantly all can get down inside where its warmer wile traveling when the frost is setting.

Other wise have been trying to catch up with work a bit

for sure , I'm waiting on my Holiday approval , Look forward to coming up to get this 89 Project well on the way I went to Autoone today to price the Engine Jack/Hoist Combo .....$699 Delivered Bugger it .... I'm making my own, so in the meantime we'll have to improvise on pulling that engine out of the 90 to do the headgasket on it.

That's if you decide to do the h/g anyway for the piece of mind.

The 2-Door with a Hole in the Roof , now that ....I have to see ...

We'll try and carry on with the 89 project in between your work so it doesn't interupt with work, so hopeully we can get as much done as possible .

Since you have been so good to me (The collection of the 90 model) I should be able to help you find some material to make one out of Just need a taiwanese hydraulic jack or a chain block from super crap or Gas weild and some H/D casters from bunnings and weild away

I'm thinking we should get the LRA body lift kits done on both Rangies 1st
Then do the diffs cvs etc.

I can do the flares latter or matt can if he manages to escape from Vic. Think I may need his help to get the blower to work in harmony with the Delco/Haltech engine management.

Have to see how we go for time as I don't want them all in pieces for to long like my other project are

You have mentioned getting my work and some of the project done... There are two other important things we have to make time for....... The fridge & fire and a tour of the Farm and local

The 2 door safari... I have no pics of proof yet... But believe me it has a bloody bad leak in the roof now

No worries lifting an engine here as have a chain block, front end loader or a back hoe to chose from

I have to get rid of that 45 series cruiser thats in the way

Sounds good Tony perhaps you might like to make a list of what has to be done and place them in order of their importance and allocate an estimated time frame so we can cross things off the list as we go along, just to stay on shedule.

I know what you mean about things being in pieces , hopefully they won't be for too long...

I can Fit the Flares , just a bit of loving with the 4" angle grinder using a really thin disc , just gotta mark things out , you might like to do them last when everything is done and then fit the bigger tyres . are they LRA Flares?

as for the Cruiser we should be able to organise something there..
