...how hard is it to repair/renew said seat controls?
Someone did write elsewhere they were identical to those in his 1987 Mercedes 300TD.

Improvise ..... 2way toggle switches only cost $10 ...

I had heard of someone doing that and also using rocker switches, but until I get the car, hard to know what's involved. Doesn't sound like it should be too hard to sort something out then...

it is very easy to convert to rcoker switches i have done it, but being the perfectionist i am i'm not 100% happy with it not being original. finding a place to mount the switches easily is also a mission, well in my soefdash andyway, i still havny got them mounted i just connect the loom when i want to move the seat (rarely)
