They are standing up ok so far, much better than the split rims and the Goodyears that were on them. I’d consider changing to All Terrains when these are due, but I’ll see what wear I get first. When I was looking at M/T I rang around about both Toyo and BFG KM3’s but they had no stock of BFG’s and the fellow said they were slow selling. I preferred the Toyo anyway as I think they’re a stronger tyre.

IIRC they're 7 micron nominal.

Whilst this has been done for decades (adding a cartridge to the sedimentor) you have to be a little careful having a filter on the suction side of the pump, you can lose prime due to the restriction.

And the sedimentor works brilliantly dropping a lot of crap out of suspension and keeping the main filter relatively clear.

Will see how it goes, on my Disco (300tdi) I run an inline gauze type filter that trap a bit of crud the sedimentor has let through. I run a veg oil blend in the Disco so it is more prone to getting gelling etc.

Found fault with front drivers side parking light was a loose earth, also replaced front blackout light to then discover the other has stopped working

Got a flat on the rear left when driving home yesterday... Nuts are too tight to undo roadside and the jack wouldn't pump up the inner cylinder thing so drove home on the rim at walking pace [thankfully was less than 1k from home] and will call roadside assist on Sat morning to come and change the wheel

who tightened them up?

tightened hard with your wheel nut spanner is quite adequate.....don't use rattleguns.

I can always undo my wheel nuts.

if I was you I'd be checking all the others. you are gonna get caught short with the wheelnuts or the jack or both.

.....and I'd fill the jack and check its operation....and store it up right. Many D2 owners got caught out to find their bottle jack not operable because it was stored on its side and gradually leaked.....corrugations do wonders.

Tightened by the army [or frontline] - Jack is kind of rusty so may be a bin job but will see what I can do. Will get a rattle adaptor thing for my DeWalt impact driver [same as the NRMA guy used, and a 27mm I think impact socket and unwind the rest of my nuts and tighten with the wheel brace.

Depending on how nice the tax man is and how much KLR will cost me to fix the issue with white smoke under load i'll be hoping to get some 'wolf' rims and tubeless tyres [those take offs from the Toyota mob seem like the go] as well.
