The new wider tyres have shown up my worn front end.
I need new rod ends, steering damper and drop-arm ball joint.

I have numbers for everything except the drop arm ball joint.
apparently there were two brands of steering box used. How to tell the difference? (each one has a different pitman -drop- arm) and if there is any difference in the ball joint used on each brand?

The only thing I've been able to find is a rebuild kit RBG000010 for the ball joint. Anyone know if you can buy one pre-assembled?

Not sure that would fit in the drop arm

Both of those are OK, Bendix have always been a good quality product.

Just OK? Do you have a preference for something else?

picked up a set of the Mintex pads. Heavy buggers.

Still trying to find a viable solution for steering drop arm.
Not sure I like trusting my life on a $16 ball joint rebuild kit, but I can't find anything else.
Might have to get a return-to-centre steering damper so if it does break, at least the car will go straight instead of flipping when the wheels point out in opposite directions .

Now if only LRdirect.com would get back to me about those tie-rod ends, I could actually order some stuff!
