Would the RPS page be good enough?

Hi All, trying to get seat approval, but Queensland doesn't recognize the roll bar or back seat (which needs the roll bar). Does anyone have an engineers report/detailed installation drawings for either? as I can greatly reduce costs on getting an engineer to certify. I have tried the manufacturers who wont even respond and land rover are not very helpful either. I only access my account every few days so thanks in advance
Cheers Jerry

The RM detailsthe parts and the EMEI for the vareint includes the fitting instructions.
ask them if they've EVER tried to get a design change for something past ADF/ADI.
the process involved makes dealing with government vogons seem appealing.

If you've benefited from one or more of my posts please remember, your taxes paid for my skill sets, I'm just trying to make sure you get your monies worth.
If you think you're in front on the deal, pay it forwards.
I doubt you wi get an engineer report.......
There should be install instructions available for the ROPS......but all the ROPS is is a bit of tube bolted to the body.........they do not run down to the chassis like every other ROPS is required to do.

You will not get approval, been there and a big no no.
Also side facing seats Re GS can no longer be approved in QLD.
A couple of comments:If it were the case that side facing seats were outlawed, then the hundreds of Toyota Land-Cruiser Troopy's with side facing seats would be banned too. Mostly you'll find them on Fraser Island.
- The rear seat in an RFSV is rearward facing.
- The compliance for side facing seats is at the date of the vehicle's manufacture/date of modification (fitting the seats). Not today.
BTW: Outside the above comments, I'd never have a friend of mine sitting in a sideways facing seat, seat-belt, full-harness or otherwise. Riding in that alignment is just not safe.

Agree re the side facing seats, other than slow paddock trips, wouldn't recommend it on the road.
Re the rear facing seats...that brings back distant memories of our kids being in rear facing baby seats, that was a long time ago, is that still done?....if so, that would be a tick for a rear facing seat??
Hi Gordie
If you notice buses only have forward or rearward facing seats these days.
The reason is that from crash research, the risk of serious or fatal spinal injuries for passengers seated in sideways facing seats is significantly greater than forwards or rearwards facing seats. Even with relatively minor crashes or even sudden changes of direction or velocity, it is something like a factor of 4. (400% greater risk)
