    No.

    Current trailer rules:
    0-750kg ATM unbraked
    over 770kg-2000kg ATM override brakes
over 2000kg-4500kg ATM electric brakes with breakaway function.
Before 1981, the unbraked ATM was about 900kg I think.

    Towing vehicle:
It's not about the trailer, it's about how much the vehicle can tow. For example, a VR Commodore with a heavy duty towing package fitted is only rated to tow 1600kg braked. Even if the trailer had electric brakes, it is still only rated to tow 1600kg.
That is a whole different debate covered elsewhere on this forum.

Might be making a trip to sydney for the next auction, 3 up there whereas only one in Melbourne. Started to think a FFR might be the go as I run a fair few things off the batteries at times. I might even look at a haulmark dual axle while i am there. Any idea what these have been going for?

Should be able to get one for around 4k? Although I have seen them go for as high as 5k. Good luck.
