    Yes the wiring was already in place. A couple of the sensor plugs were hidden pretty well though, which required taking away some of the rear interior trim.

    Yes, I have a list of the parts that are required.

    Well done! How much CCF editing was there?
    Cheers,

    Cambo helped me out with that side of things. Took about an hour to edit the CCF for all 3 additions.

    As far as I can see from the wiring diagrams, it's not simply a case of plugging in the module, it appears that the switch pack on the seat is also different. The connections on the memory and non-memory switch pack are doing different things.

    e.g. Pin 3 on the memory is for the lumbar inflation, but on the non-memory it's the seat inclination, and so on...

    Don't forget that the memory system is quite complicated as it also manages the positions of the motorised steering column, and the external rear-view mirrors.

    There's different wiring harnesses for memory and non-memory seats.

    While not impossible, it's going to be fairly complicated to work out.

    A lot of parts like electronic modules are shared between Jaguar and Land Rover, and even the new prices are out of whack. Same part ordered with Land Rover part number is double the price of the Jaguar one. Or the Jaguar one is three times the price of the Land Rover one, or the Volvo part is half the price of the Land Rover one...
    Hi Cambo,
    Re blind spot monitoring, those are the LR part numbers: "Just the sensor modules - LR051009, LR051010"
    If you have any joy sourcing those for less I'd be very interested...
    I also need to investigate what needs to change with respect to the mirror. I'll dig out a VIN so I can work out the parts. Not sure if it's the whole mirror unit or what...?
    Thanks,
    David

    LR051009 = EH22-14D453-AE
    LR051010 = EH22-14D453-BE

    No Jag equivalent for those exact numbers, however you can find other Blind Spot Monitoring componenents with the middle of the p/n 14D453 from other Jag and Land Rover models.

    I would have to make some further investigation as to cross-compatibility with other models... maybe, maybe not, either way it needs further investigation...

    Do you have other part numbers for these modules, earlier or later ones perhaps?

    Retrofitting missing factory options to new-ish LR's; FL2, Evoque, D3/D4, RRS, etc...

    I'm just about to do another Premium Sound retrofit on a MY16 D4.

    As the wiring for the surround speakers is missing from the D4 (unlike the Freelander2 which is totally pre-wired) this time I've fabricated a proper harness to make the installation as simple as possible for the owner of the car.

    Retrofit Harness:

    This makes it so much easier! Here's all the parts needed for the retrofit:

    As it turns out the speakers and harness is the same for both the Logic7 and the Meridian systems from MY12 onward. The only difference is the amplifier however the connectors and pinouts are the same.

    The Meridian speakers are 100% the same as the Harmon Kardon ones, just no branding on the label.

    Finished off another D4 with the Meridian Surround and DAB+ today, the owner of the car brought another item to my attention that I wasn't aware of, apparently all the newer Australian delivered cars have the Global Close disabled, because of "safety concerns", yet the UK/EU cars have it.

    Managed to find the right field for it in the CCF and now the Global Close is working.

    Funny that the Global Close was enabled in my older Freelander from the factory, apparently this was not dangerous in 2008????

    Sorry for the delay in responding - distracted elsewhere!

    I noticed that LR051009 seem to have now been superseded by LR075761 but not sure if that helps...
