Search sounds amazing - is there any indication that there might be a single mail inbox? It's been something that really gets me down (going through each individual inbox to find particular emails)...

My iphone has the mysterious disappearing wifi. I woke up last weekend, and it wouldn't let me connect to the network. I tried opening my network, going to maccas for open networks... nothing. You could see the network but not join it. I tried switching it off, restoring it... no joy.

In desperation I started googling and found this. I wrapped it in a plastic and put it in the fridge for an hour. Pulled it out and bingo... wi-fi worked for a whole week!

It stopped again this morning. I didn't want to do the fridge thing (condensation is dangerous!) so rang Apple. In ten minutes I have a new one on the way! You pay $39 and a $700 deposit and they mail the new one out. When you get the new one, you send the old one back in the supplied satchel and they refund the money when they get the phone.

You can do the conventional repair thing but I was happy to pay the $39 to not wait for a repair. I'm happy with that.

Does the iPhone actually add words to it's dictionary? When typing texts for example the words "no probs" it will offer "probe" as an alternative, so I x back and then retype the "s" and then space bar to next word fine. But later if I type the same word in another message I have to repeat the above process...................is there something I am missing? I figured it would be like the Nokia i had before where it would learn and add typed words once spell checked to it's internal dictionary?

I'm not sure but when it offers a word to you tap the x next to the offered word and it won't overwite it. This saves you from having to retype it.

Ww will have to have an iPhone session at the Springs

I have been a goose I have been pressing the bigger x button next the letter "M" which was deleting the last letter and I was having to retype the letter I wanted. Think you're right..............an iphone session might be needed........so many questions

    Thanks again, Mick
