Since my ISP fixed the problem earlier this month (new firmware downloaded into the modem - but it took them nearly four months to fix it. Problem seems to be actually IPStar) AULRO and other sites have been quite fast, with AULRO no different from other sites.

I think there has got to be issues external to Aulro, last night it was as slow as a wet week, almost to the point of being unusable, this morning it's fast again
