It is a factory fitted safety devise that gives better control to the suspension ... especially on cornering and emergency braking
    So Legal wise ... unsure

......But in the same light ... A lot of folks take the front & rears off for better articulation on the tracks ..

My RRC has the same suspension setup as yours, and they were not fitted with them

and mine goes great around corners .....

I can hear you unbolting something already ......

ummmm maybe , that plastic shroud on the front is already gone, slight cut of the guards, just waiting on one phone call to say what racv are doing i doubt they will do anything if this is the case certainly they will both com off

    Short answer is Yes ....
But you will need the ring-gear flex plate / Brake pedal assembly / Console / Gear selector stick ....
...... So usually best to buy a whole running Donor car

But I am unsure if there is a difference in the "Cam grind" of the motor when they are Manual or Auto
...... (usually there is in other brands)

So having said that... If you have a running donor car ...then just transfer the whole drive train (motor / Gbox / Transfer case) from one to the other & flog off the bits that you no longer need

Wouldn't it be better to sell yours & just buy a Auto? ... Mainly because there will be not much $$ difference in the money changing hands & you will have far less frustrations
