    Electric door mirror strip down

    Hi all,

Has anyone ever pulled apart an electric door mirror from a Disco1?

    This is for an MY95.

Mine jitter when you adjust them so I assume they need more lube.
I've already pulled the switch apart and cleaned it up so it isn't that. Although it did improve the stop/start movement they used to have.

    Thanks

My RRC mirrors jitter when they get to the limit of their travel.

Do they jitter in both directions? If in only one direction maybe a click different on the mirror housing will be needed.

The LH mirror has to be further back than the RH in my car anyway.
    Regards Philip A

Yes my LHS mirror needs to be clicked out a bit further too but the mirrors jitter in all directions.

I have been having a look around and noticed you can buy new glass bits for them so you must be able to get them apart but I haven't seen how yet. Don't really want to smash mine trying. Maybe I should try it at a wrecker first
