It is also good practise to lightly grease pack the bearings before assembly in oil fed situations, gives that little bit of protection till the oil gets to the bearings, Regards Frank.

thanks tank, yep, i agree, i did give them a good hit of moly before sealing it all up...can't hurt can it

Like Tank says.
I use Timkin bearings along with RTC3511 double lipped seals which recommended for oil filled hubs, both front and rear on the Defender, S1 Disco, ......
