temperature switch that controls the ECU running resistance?

    Hi,
Any body know the running resistance for the ECU temperature sensor?

Any chance of posting a walk through so I can play with my new multi meter.

ps my auto electric skills are zero - this is my first attempt

here's the specs as per land rover. someone might already have the original document on here. i was going to upload it but it's 6mb and doesn't zip very well. (i think it has up loaded anyway) it has all the pin outs of the 14cux and with your new multimeter you'd be like a pig in s... testing them all. if it's the sensor i'm thinking of i pull the connector off and then put the probes on each terminal of the sensor. taking the connector off ensures there is nothing else interfering with the resistance so you are only reading the sensor resistance. obviously, with the dmm be sure to select the ohms reading. if its not auto scaling then ensure you have it on the right sort of resistance range to get a correct reading.

    hope this helps.

    brett.
