    D1 Wheel stud size?

Hi Guys and yes, I have done a search but my eyes are now bleeding....
I am about to order new braked hubs for the camper trailer and have been asked the question "Do you want 9/16 or 5/8 studs?"
    Ummmmm.....
Apparently the 5/8 is RR and the 9/16 is D1. Is this true?

Can someone please confim that I need 9/16 studs for a D1 steel wheel?
    Thanks in advance. - Matti

Unless I am mistaken both the RR Classic and D1 are the same and neither is imperial - both are metric, 16mm.

Ah yes, the famous ALKO problem.

The larger ALKO imperial studs are OK if you want to fit steel wheels only.

If you want to fit mags then you have to buy blank hubs, buy some Land Rover studs and have them drilled. DO NOT assume that you can just punch out the imperials and push in the Metrics as the splines on the imperials are bigger than the metrics.
    Ask me how I know!!!!!!
