    Removing the old motor (300tdi)

    Ok, I've disconected everything and it's ready to come out But.... there are no lifting points Has anyone changed their motor over themselves before? how did you do it? any advise would be welcome

    Find a bolt front and back of engine that you can attach a chain to and bolt on the chain, then you can use a shackle thu one of the links to get the correct balance (angle), make sure the bolts are up to the job, head bolts would be good, Regards Frank.

    remove the starter motor and the exhuast, wrap a chain around the flywheel housing take it over the top and wrap the front end around the crank pullysecure the top of the motor to the chain with a piece of rope that you tie from the intake manifold to the chain and the aircon compressor mounts.,
