    24 or 10 spline??????

    Hi All,Maybe a silly question but I'll ask anywayI have a 96 S1 V8 Disco,just wondering if there is a way to tell what spline axles in the old girl for a Detroit Locker install on the rear,other than pulling the axle to check??? So please excuse my ignorance if this is a silly question

    I'm pretty sure you'll be 24 spline - maybe someone can back me up!?

    Mine is a 95 Disco and I have 24 spline - don't know when they changed? Some LR bofin on here will know though!

    24 splines started to be phased in with the interim version just prior to the release of the updates in April 94 - so the change over was between about Sep 93 and cars made in Jan 94. The interim version (3.9 - LT77) can have either 10 or 24 splines.
