difference is 100 pounds 410 vs 510 assembled with valves and springs. perfomance head has been cleaned up so it flows better.

Yes, and they relieve the inlet tract more for good flow, AFAICS they leave exhaust alone but all casting burrs etc seem to be cleaned away.

Last one I fitted to a 1994 110. Tweaked the pump and injection timing, and the owner claimed 'off the speedo' on the flat, and uphill blew away 80 series cruisers.

i'd recommend one, but best results are with fuel pump tweak and timing etc.
BTW, this 110 was still running standard turbo, I/C and exhaust

How much all up did it cost you? Did you just get the bare head or did you get the valves, gaskets etc etc with it?
all up door to door $906
the full list of what i got is
    std head with valves
head gasket kit, head, manifold, rockers cover gaskets and injector seals
head bolts kit, comes with lubricant

Nah i went for the standard head without valves (310 pounds).
I ordered several other components too (gaskets, headbolts, piston rings, conrod bearings, thermostat) which cost me ~$880 delivered.
The package arrived within a week and to my surprise it arrived with valve springs and valves!

Very interesting, Bruce Davis reckoned my head had a few soft spots, that should be ok, but I needed to keep an eye on the head. I was cash strapped at the time and could splash out on a new head. The plan was to get the car running and then save for a new head. That was nearly two years ago. I think I'll start putting some cash aside for one of the performance heads, i have had the fuel pump tweek done. Want to add the larger intercooler aswell. With all that done it should go heaps better.

i have just finished doing up the head bolts and thought a would see how many ft/lb it would be, i have a clicker type torque wrench.
i set it at 130 ft/lb for the second sequence of 60 degrees,
and around 6-8 bolts hit that target.
reset to 150 ft/lbs for the 20 degree turn and most of the bolts set off the torque wrench
