Thread: V8 Disco1 air filter box top

If your Filter box is the square black one like in the 300TDI it is used for vaccum or to fit a suction gauge to see when the filter gets clogged up. I put a suction indicator made by Donaldson from a truck onto mine so I have a quick check of the filter without having to open the box up.
Although I do open the box up once a month as a habit.

Yes correct to say "downstream" ..hence if rocker hose is disconnected box is drawing in unfiltered air
