    door rattle

I have a little bit of a very annoying rattle which has developed over the last few weeks...
It is coming from somewhere next to my right ear and driving me nuts... I tried all sorts of things but I dont seem to be able to locate the problem...
I shook everything in reach around the drivers door including the seat belt mount, roof, window, door, sun visor... you name it, but everything is absolutely tight and doesnt make a noise.

However if you go over a bit of uneven road (and I'm planing to do a lot of that over christmas if you know what I mean....) its all over...

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is possibly anything behind the roof lining that could have come lose (nuts/bolts?) and how I can get there (as in take the lining off without braking it)

I took the door trim off the other day and thought it could have been that locking rod but havent done anything about it coz the noise is really coming from a lot higher up... but maybe its traveling... might give that a go as well.

    Any info appreciated!

    Hi,
sometimes the welding joints from "B" pillar break (not all: some of then) and there comes out a friction noise.
The solution is to flill interstices with proper body sealant.
If this, You have to take the lining apart...

    Regards

When you hit a bump the door can jump up and down on the door lock post (bolted to the B pillar, well mine does anyway. Solution was to glue a couple of high density foam blocks 70mmx50mmx40mm to the B pillar outside of the door seal so that the door compresses these 2 blocks and stops jumping on bumps with no more noise, Regards Frank.
