    You are aware that Hawkeye can disable most of the alarm functions aren't you?

    Hawkeye won't save you from an immobiliser failure. Mine is a late 95 and has all the kit. Mostly bypassed.

    That black box with the two white plugs is probably the unit you're looking for. When the immobiliser stopped my mates Rangie I just back probed the plugs with a test light until one lit up with the key being turned to start. I bridged that to one that made the starter work. Can't remember the colours but it wasn't very hard to do. I left the box plugged in so the central locking still worked.
