it certainly has been done although I haven't seen any of the kits around for quite some time.

Involved a modified turret that could accomodate the two shocks to hold the top. Cant recall how they were mounted at the bottom.

Perhaps a search in some of the uk shops - scorpion racing?

Yes the top mounts are no problems I think the lower mounts will end up a fairly complicated bracket off the lower a mounts. Not quite enough room to run the 2 shocks inside the spring.

    Hey Glen.

AFAIK most people use the setup from air suspended RRCs for the 2nd shock. Can't run a shock through the middle of an airbag...

I've collected the shock turrets from an air suspension RR, some time ago I put a front end in that had come from an air suspension vehicle, that gives me the standard RR shock, plus the forward shock mount on housing, and turrets for #2. The turret mounts with the steering box bolts. I'll need to cut the inner guard to fit in the turret, and move the brake lines a bit. I am currently investigating max travel etc, so may be raising the turrets to accommodate longer shocks. I'll get the geometry/travel etc sorted with standard mounting before adding shock #2.

Years ago I remember a local LR mechanic had added #2 shock to rear of the existing front turret. He had welded bracket to the axle housing, and one to the existing turret.

    excellent idea,

I have however gone to the extra shock to the rear of the spring tower. The shocks I'm using as prs have the correct valving to suit this position, the vehicle ia really set up to go fast rather then travell for more extreme offroad work. I'll post some pics when I finish the set up

    Thanks folks
