$125 sure sounds good for a 700cca battery, sounds a damn site cheaper than anything I'd find at Repco! Sucks about the appointment too!
I checked my battery again after I was pushing my newly fixed electric window up and down (after the window motor itself had slowed a bit) and it was sitting on a bit over 9v. It starts fine with a jump so it shouldn't be the starter should it? Pretty sure the batter is just wrecked, I don't know how old it is it's been in the car since I got it a bit over a year ago so it could be pretty old.
Where is that place in Moorabbin? I want to find a decent place to buy a battery that won't cost an arm and a leg.
Beautiful cheers for that...I wonder if they're open on Sundays
Edit: I think I just found them online...Moorabbin Battery Centre? Surely that's them.
How do I check if my alarm is connected to the horn? I remember a little while ago the alarm sounded when a friend of mine opened the tailgate without turning the alarm off first and it was only a really dull horn sound which I heard, even though my actual horn works really well and is loud. Since then the alarm hasn't gone off until the hazard lights the other night with the motion detectors and there was definitely no kind of horn sound.
This has answered a few questions for me about the alarms but I do have to ask this I have a 1997 SE7 did these come with remotes for central locking/alarm??? if so where do i get one. I'm to lazy to fix the rear door spring on the lock and have to goto the drivers door before i open the rear (pain in the butt when its pouring rain).. As i call it a blip blip would be so helpfull![]()
About you alarm.......Your siren is probably stuffed. Its located on the drivers side guard in the engine bay.You cant miss it.Mine was stuffed and started making really funny noises and then stopped altogether.I just bought a cheap one from Jaycar and does the job great.
Awesome thank you very much for all that info![]()
Yes it did. Mine is a '96 but I bought two new ones from Land Rover and had them programmed by them as well. It cost $600 but I had no other choice
There is a chap in the UK who sells them but you need access to someone with the software to programme them with your alarm ECU - try a Google search,
Cheers Charlie
