Thread: question on rear seats

I'm not sure how legal it is but mine was a registered 7 seater with the original fold down dickie seats prior to be converted to LPG with the skuna tank.

Attached are some images to illustrate that the dickie seats continue to operate. Obviously, unless you are under 10 years old, you wouldn't want to be seated there for long.

I made up a simple table type cover from alumininium SHS tube and connectors from Bunnings with ply top and marine carpet. It is great for placing my fridge on when we go camping to keep away from moisture and dirt.

The rear seats still fold down also. So apart from losing a 200mm depth of cargo space, the whole set up works pretty well.

Hi Mathewk,I have just gone down the track you are heading down.The quick answer is YES,there are no dramas getting it reg'd as six seater.I just got mine done as a seven seater with the scuba tanks in the back.Just fit them up trims and all because they wont do it unless everything is fitted up.And it might pay to remind them that all Disco's are made with all the captive nuts already there and no modification is required.Hope this helps..
