that depends on how wider tyre you want to run i have 8's on neg 25 with a 11.5 tyre and their just in the gaurd
i'll look for pics
Hi Everyone.
Firstly yes Ive used the search function, yet call me stupid but still cant find my answer.
My question is that I want to install 33 inch tyres to my 94 discovery, from what I have read I should be looking for a -25mm steel rim. My question is what width of rim? -25mm will stick out further on a 8 inch rim, which offset would I use for a 7 inch wide rim ?
Honestly Ive looked.
Thanks in advance for your help
Karl

To give the same inner clearance on a 7" wide rim you would need -12 or -13. To be exact, you would need -12.5... the 8" rim will stick out further though, after all, it is 8" wide
What is the offset of the original 16X7's???
Wheel Offset Calculator
TO get the same amount of "poke" from a 7" rim as U would with an 8" -25 offset rim, U would need a 7" with an offset of -10. This will give U and extra 23mm track (per side) over the standard 7" OEM rim.
I think thats what the OP was asking?
