Runs fine on Lpg not so good on petrol

Hey guys my disco starts and idles fine on petrol but as soon as you rev higher than 2000 rpm is very hesitant on acceleration. Not to much of a problem as runs fine on lpg but would like to fix it. Any ideas?

Possibly the fuel pump is dying, you can fit a Commodore VN-on fuel pump in the LR pump housing, eg Bosch part no. BFP772 is the one I use.

Hopefully not the fuel pump as the gas tanks are where the original tank was. The petrol tank now sits behind the driverside rear wheel so will need to drop it out to get to the pump. Was thinking maybe airflow sensor because if you tramp your foot in neutral it loses revs befor sputtering up the rev range but if you slowly apply the accelorator it accelerates just fine. Probably should just pay a visit to the good blokes at KLR auto

If the pump is worn out a pressure gauge on the rail will diagnose it. So long as the bolts aren't rusted in those tanks aren't that hard to remove. (Sometimes I fit one up 3-4 times before I finish with it.) As you say, it could be the MAF instead.
