94 v8 mods ,new landy owner
Hi everyone
Im new to landies but i couldnt resist buying one after driving my mates disco.Im working on a 94 v8 ,i ironed out all the little stuff ,bushes ,engine mounts etc .I got a few new bits in the workshop waiting to be fitted .Cranked rear trailing arms ,5+ long travel shockies for the back ,8 mm retaining plates for top and bottom ,pin to pin conversion for the back ,sway bar dislocators ,extended brake lines ,2+ shockies for the front {dont want to play with it till i upgrade the cv's and axles } ,steering guards and a detroit locker for the back diff already fitted .Looking forward building the truck and correct the inevitable mistakes on the way
Have anyone done away with the airbox altogether and installed the mushroom type top filter ,defender style ? I already installed the waterproofing kit for the ignition coil and dizzy cap.Looking forward to go out with fellow landy owners and picking your brains on the way .As an ex Nissan man im hereby declare my new found love for landys ,what was i thinking before lol
George

Welcome George, sounds like your on your way mate. You have the right idea afic.
Have you thought about a Bosch coil conversion? Makes a huge difference.
Upgrade the cv's to county cv's much stronger but they'll break still. Ask me how I know:-). Common is hi tough or maxi axles. I run high tough and they have copped a beating with front and rear lockers and 35's and are still looking like new. The rest of the truck not so well but that's another story.. Let's just say if you want a body lift pay the extra for a white tiger complete kit from LRA.
An exhaust upgrade to let it sing to you also a nice addition.
Would be nice to see some pics as you build it.
Good luck with your build and welcome again to the landrover scene.. Once you go green you never go back. I was Nissan and then Toyota now nothing else compares for me.

Damn this thing is going to be one hell of a weapon.. You need to come down south so we can show you the high country then we can boat it to tassie and get shown some of the most untouched tracks in the country
