Thread: 1992 D1 V8i - what to look for

hey guys, got a few questions regarding 92 V8 manual D1's.
pretty new to LR, but have a history with tojo and zooks.
sadly LR have a rep for being leaky and being a home for many gremlins.

basically, sold all my toys to get go to uni. going crazy with no toys.
after a bus to take me down to robe/beachport/yorks and general 4x4 camping trips...


found a D1, manual, 8, recent gas, lowish km, 31's etc etc etc.

-just wondering what i should be looking out for as far as issues go?

-how thristy (ie, km to a tank) are the early v8's on gas and petrol? (at uni, so moneys not that readily available)

-easiest way to tell if a motors got warm and is no good?

-10spline axles ok on 31's??

haha, dont worry.
the bloke got back to me with the economy figures,
300km from $60-70 petty, 150km from $20-30 gas. (no size of tanks supplied)
i think ill have to wait for a TD option to pop up.
