Mate, my advice would be to go and see your local pink slip inspection station right now whilst there are still no leaks, ask the guy if he'll give you roadworthy certs for the next ten years. I have seen these Landrovers leak new, on the showroom floor, my mate bought a brand new Deefer 130 ute and it immediately leaked oil on his garage floor, the dealer was not successful in stopping all the leakage within the warranty time. Very rarely will you see any Pommy cars with no leaks. If they are not leaking then there is a strong possibility there is no oil in them. But that being said, I have had 3 Jags, 2 Triumphs, a Morris, first car was an Austin A40 and a few Landrovers in my time, still have the old Disco, and loved the lot of them, warts (oil leaks) and all, I think they are addictive.

It seems to be that owning anything landrover means you are just waitng for the next thing to fail but they have heaps of character that all the jap 4x4's seem to miss.
