    <<< you can see the wire mesh ... Remove the circlip holding the mesh in place

    Look inside the MAF body and you will then see a 6mm hole to the left side ...
    (The words in red actually relate to this hole behind the mesh)

    Shine a torch in the hole and you will see what looks like a "light filament" wire
    Clean that wire with circuit board cleaner + the MAF body

    I took the cautious approach & didn't take the mesh off, just sprayed the MAF cleaner into the hole from the outside as I have been told the filament is quite fragile, so I reasoned that doing it from the outside would lesson the force of the spray on the filament, a fair bit of dirt came out.

    Yes i plan to this weekend.....

    Don't have that mesh on mine, that sort of stuffed me up when I was trying see what you guys were talking about (picture). But after I re-read this a couple of times more carefully LOL, I gave it a good spay with cleaner ($25) including into the vents on the other side. I also used some foam cleaner on the air-intake side side of butterfly, then with motor running & revving through the vacuum air-hose into the pellum.
    It seems to be working but haven't really taken it for a drive yet, cricket was on

    Yep, did that although directions on can said to do when element just warm specifying not hot, then did the rest
